New Training Opportunities Volunteering in the Community starts 22nd February 2016 Do you have 2-3 hours a week to spare and an interest in community work, family support or childcare? If so, train to become a Volunteer Support Worker Accredited, free course with creche provision if needed Placement given in a Family Support Group learn about the work of Patch and volunteering Understand the issues faced by families Understand how to build on/develop skills needed to perform a voluntary role Gain awareness on subjects such as substance misuse, domestic violence etc. Get Further qualifications e.g. Safeguarding Children, paediatric first aid, Level 2 Children & Young Peoples Workforce, Basic Sills etc. Cooking on a Budget/Healthy Eating starts 29th March 2016 Come along with your child/ren and have fun preparing meals get new recipes and share ideas for providing cheap and healthy food. Managing Children's Behaviour starts 29th February 2016 Learn how to focus on positive behaviour, understand how you can use strategies to help your child, find out how you can work together to support your child - creche provided if needed Call to book a place on any of the courses or for further information.
